Home cooked meals are the best, in my opinion, so that is what I hope to fix for us to eat en-route. I know it will be more work than stopping at a restaurant, but it is definitely more cost-effective. In order to cook tasty food along the road, I need various spices and herbs to improve the flavor of the base ingredients. I put together a collection of herbs, spices, and other dry cooking necessities for us to take. Small sandwich baggies worked well to contain the stuff. I will also double-bag them to guard against spillage.
Now I just need to figure out a way to carry oil and other liquid necessities....
